Hamptons Weekend Agenda: Fundraisers, Film Screenings & More

Big fundraisers this weekend include Soldier Ride, Rock the Dock, Unconditional Love Gala, a fluke tournament and more.

It might be sweltering outside, but if you're looking for something else to do this weekend than cool off in the water, you've come to the right place. SPRINGS
• Film ScreeningThe Accabonac Protection Committee will show 'Grasslands' on Friday night at 7:30 at the Springs Presbyterian Church as part of its Long Live Accabonac film series. Admission is free.

EAST HAMPTON

• Antiques ShowThe East Hampton Historical Society will hold an antique show over the weekend on Mulford Farm on Saturday and Sunday, with a preview cocktail party on Friday night. Admission to the show is $10, with an early buying hour Saturday only for an extra $10.
• One-Act PlaysGuild Hall is hosting Blythe Danner and Simon Jones in Noel Howard's 'Tonight at 8:30,' a series of three one-act plays. The show begins at – you guessed it – 8:30 p.m. and runs Tuesdays through Sundays through Aug. 3. Tickets start at $40 for non-members.

BRIDGEHAMPTON

• Author ReadingSuspense writer Chris Knopf will be at the Hampton Library for their weekly Fridays at Five. Beverages & hors d'oeuvres are served in the library garden, and Knopf will read and field questions. Cost is $15 to attend.
• Family FairThe Fifth Annual Family Fair, benefitting the Children's Museum of the East End, will take place on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $100 per child, and $150 per adult ($150 and $200 at the door).

SAG HARBOR
• Rock the DockBay Street Theatre is holding its largest fundraiser of the year. Hosted by Susan Lucci, and with meet-and-greet opportunities with Kelly and Michael and Jerry Seinfeld, tickets for the event start at $550.
• Soldier RideHeld in honor of Lance Cpl. Jordan Haerter, a fallen Marine from Sag Harbor, Soldier Ride includes cycling options of 30 or 60 miles, or a 5K run/walk, with kick-off points in Amagansett and Sag Harbor. The fundraiser benefits the Wounded Warrior Project; cost to register varies from $25 to $50.
• Painting ExhibitIn conjunction with Soldier Ride, Barbara Hadden will be featuring a series of oil paintings of the bridge named in his honor at Romany Kramoris Gallery, with an opening reception on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. 

WATER MILL

• Film ScreeningMichael Halsband's short documentary, "Growing Farmers," will be screened Friday night at Parrish Art Museum at 6 p.m. Local farmers featured in the film will also be on hand for a discussion of topics explored in the documentary. Admission is $10, free for members.
• Photo Show ReceptionThe East End Photographer's Group will be holding a reception on Saturday at the Water Mill Museum from 4 to 7 p.m. The show features 25 photogs from both forks.

SOUTHAMPTON
• MusicalOur Fabulous Variety Show will be presenting 'Godspell' over the weekend at the Southampton First Presbyterian Church, with three shows over the weekend from Friday through Sunday. The musical captures the parables in the Gospel of Matthew. Admission is $20.
• Film ScreeningOn Friday night at 8:30, The Southampton Center in collaboration with Hamptons International Film Festival will present 'Running Wild' for free on the lawn of the Southampton Center. The film tells the story of a cowboy who triumphs in his quest to protect and preserve America’s western horses.
• Animal Shelter FundraiserThe Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation will holds its Fourth Annual Unconditional Love Gala, held at a private home on Saturday night starting at 7 p.m. Chuck Scarborough will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Tickets start at $500.

QUOGUE

• Wildlife AuctionThe 16th Annual Silent Auction to Benefit Wildlife, with proceeds going toward the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center, will be held on Saturday at the Quogue VFW starting at 4 p.m. Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door.

HAMPTON BAYS
• Fluke TournamentThe Hampton Bays Fire Department is hosting its Third Annual Fluke Fishing Tournament, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Weigh-in is at 4 p.m., with a barbecue kicking off at 3:30 p.m. Cost is $50 per entry, and $30 for the barbecue and live music.
• Live MusicSt. Rosalie's Parish Center is holding a free concert on Sunday at 7 p.m., hosting "Project Vibe."

WESTHAMPTON BEACH
• Live MusicWesthampton Beach Performing Arts Center presents Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets start at $95.
• Yoga InfoHamptons Yoga Healing Arts will be holding a class Friday evening at 5:30 focusing on unique breathing exercises and more. Cost is $25.
