"Growing Farmers"

Join us for a special screening of Michael Halsband's short documentary Growing Farmers (2012), followed by a conversation with the director and farmers Amanda Merrow and Katie Baldwin (Amber Waves Farm) and Scott Chaskey (Quail Hill Farm). Access to affordable farmland is the greatest impediment to young farmers starting out on Long Island. Growing Farmers examines the issue and explores some of the solutions. Tickets are $10, free for members, children, and students. Space is limited and advance reservations are strongly recommended.
