— First, a look at the weather. Tuesday will be mainly sunny. High 64F. Not a bad day. How about taking your lunch to the beach?
— If you get your morning coffee at Starbuck's in Bridgehampton, you'll have to go elsewhere on Tuesday morning, at least. According to the Bridgehampton Fire Department chief, Starbucks is closed until further notice due to a carbon monoxide issue. Alarms sounded, bringing out fire officials on Monday afternoon, and they found dangerously high levels of the toxic gas. Starbucks is working to correct the issue.
— The South Fork community is mourning the loss of Robert Dash, a well-known artist and the founder of the Madoo Conservancy, a hidden gem in Sagaponack. Dash, who died with his dog, Barnsley, by his side on Saturday, was 82.
— Looking ahead toward November, "The Wiz" comes to Southampton. Tramar Pettaway shared news of the production. The Hamptons Foundation For The Arts will put on the show on Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. Mark your calendars.
— T.J. Clemente kicked off some discussion on the upcoming election in the Town of Southampton, posing the question: Can the Democrats win control of the town board? Chime in on the conversation.
