More than 15 animal welfare organizations joined in PetFest at the Bridgehampton Museum June 29, including local groups Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Last Chance Animal Rescue, South Fork Natural History Museum, Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard Horse Rescue and Amaryllis Farm Equine Rescue

Rescue groups offered on-site adoptions, professional dog acts such as  Team Jilly Dog and Disc Dogs, A to Z performed, and there was face painting, dog grooming demonstrations and free samples, among other attractions.

Tony Award-winning animal trainer Bill Berloni and Sandy, the canine actor in Broadway's “Annie,” opened PetFest. Andy Sabin, Amy Ma, Dan Rattiner and Berloni led the Paws Across the Hamptons Dog Walk during PetFest.

Subaru stuffed an Outback with donations for local shelters and Purina’s Chef Michaels helped plan the largest ever communal people-and-their-dogs dining event.  Chef Rocco DiSpirito designed the meal, which 224 people and more than 100 dogs took part in.

“This is the perfect way to inform our community about the concerns of animal welfare in a fun and entertaining way,”  said Robert Morris, the grand sponsor of PetFest.

Founded by Jewel Morris, PetFest benefits Pet Philanthropy Circle, which gives donations to animal rescues and shelters.
