Bridgehampton Plans Drama, Young Farmers, Jumpstart Camps

Summer camp opportunities are free to Bridgehampton School District residents and $150 for non-residents.

Registration has begun for Bridgehampton School's summer day camp programs, which offer kids the opportunity to be in a play, gets their hands dirty while learning about agriculture or to get an academic leap start on the school year.

Camp is free for residents of the Bridgehampton School District. For out-of-district campers, the cost is $150 per program. Transportation is not provided.

Drama Camp, for students in kindergarten through fifth grade, runs from June 24 to July 18. Campers get to participate in a theater production, participating in everything from stage design to acting.

The Young Farmer's Initiative invites campers to spend time in the Bridgehampton School Greenhouse.  "This program is designed to provide hands on experience with the art, science and business of farming and agriculture," according to the school. The camp is open to students grade four through 12 and runs from July 15 to Aug. 1

Jumpstart prepares elementary students for the upcoming school year by reinforcing organizational skills, reading and mathematics. It is for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The program runs from Aug. 12 to Aug. 22.

Camps are in session Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon.
