Romney Boca Raton Fundraiser Host Rented Bridgehampton Estate

Marc Leder one-and-the-same as man whose Hamptons parties made New York Post gossip pages.

Mitt Romney's controversial comments about Americans who don't pay federal income tax were reportedly delivered during a fundraiser in Boca Raton at the home of private equity manager Marc Leder — who also has a history of renting in Bridgehampton.

After one particular party at the Bridgehampton estate in summer 2011, The New York Post reported it was like the Playboy Mansion meets the East End.

But the following January he refuted The Post's story while talking to The New York Times. “I think the portrayal of me as having wild and crazy parties is absolutely incorrect,” Leder told The Times. “I spend a small percentage throwing some parties, attending some parties. I like music. I like to dance. But rather than reporting on how I spend 340 days and nights of my year, the media likes to report on the other 25.”
