Village Police Log: Man Arrested With Pepper Spray, Baton
Also among the week's arrests in Southampton Village, two charged with DWI.

Arrests by Southampton Village police during the week of June 25 to July 1:
Driving While Intoxicated
• Ricki-Lynn Berkoski, 18, of Hampton Bays, was arrested June 27 at 2:05 a.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Berkoski for failing to maintain her lane of travel while driving a 2008 Volkswagen Beetle westbound on Hill Street, and after investigation she was arrested.
• Jason T. Chernak, 31, of Water Mill, was arrested June 29 at 1:25 a.m. and charged with DWI and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree, both misdemeanors. Police said they stopped Chernak for multiple vehicle and traffic violations while driving a 2003 Ford Ranger south on Main Street
Pepper Spray, Baton Possession
• A 25-year-old Mastic man was arrested June 26 at 4:39 p.m. and charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and unlawfully possessing a noxious material, both misdemeanors, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Police said he was found with pepper spray and a collapsible baton.
Possession of a Forged Instrument
• An 18-year-old Barrington, R.I., man was arrested June 27 at 12:32 a.m. and charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the third degree, a misdemeanor, and cited under village code for littering, according to police. He was processed and released after posting $250 bail.
Also among the week's village arrests:
