A pricey engagement ring was reported stolen in Southampton on July 24, and village police are trying to track it down.
The diamond ring is valued at $35,000, according to police, who said that it went missing from a house on Pelletreau Street.
Det. Sgt. Herman Lamison said there were no signs of a break-in, but there were many people working around the house. It is believed the ring was stolen on the 24th, or around that day, he said.
In an unrelated incident, police said they are also investigating a larceny from a 2013 Honda CRV that was parked at the Wyandanch Beach parking lot Saturday.
Anyone with information regarding either incident is asked to call 631-283-0056.
