SPECIAL LECTURE: ALICE AYCOCK—HOW TO CATCH AND MANUFACTURE GHOSTS

Since the 1970s, Alice Aycock has created works that question the many ghosts inhabiting our contemporary world, particularly those involving electricity, physics, computers, constructed world views, and the mind/body dichotomy. Robert Hobbs, art historian and author of Alice Aycock: Sculpture and Projects, will discuss these many ghosts haunting both the modern world and Aycock's work by emphasizing the way her art reframes them. Tickets are $10, free for members, students, and children, and include Museum admission.
