East End or Busk

Anyone who has ridden the New York City subway has noted the astounding range of music populating the transit system. Senegalese kora, Andean pipes, steel drums, Cajun cello, Flamenco guitar, and Gypsy violin can be heard on any given day. This summer the Parrish Art Museum brings some of these talented "underground" musicians to the Museum as part of East End or Busk. The following groups will perform June 22 around the covered perimeter of the Museum: The Xylopholks, Natalia 'Saw Lady' Paruz, Vong Pak and the Vongku Pak Drum Troupe, Natalie Gelman, and Shogo Kubo. Free with Museum admission.
