A Hoagy Carmichael Tribute

On Saturday, November 30, the BH Museum will be hosting its

next parlor concert at the BH Archives (2539-A Montauk Highway) when jazz

singer Alexis Cole will present a tribute to Hoagy Carmichael. Her luxurious

voice and innovative interpretations have won her many awards including the NY

Jazzmobile and Montreux Jazz Festival vocal competitions. Her recordings have

received high praise in the jazz press. She’s performed at jazz venues such as

Dizzy's Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Oak Room, Blues Alley, and

Billboard Live. She's also performed at the Kennedy Center and been a featured

soloist at Avery Fisher Hall with the NY Philharmonic Brass. The concert starts

at 7:30 and tickets, which cost $25 ($15 for BH Museum members) can be

purchased on the Museum’s website (bhmuseum.org) via PayPal, or at the door the

night of the concert. Call 537-1088 for info
