Gold Coast Luxury Women's Shop Coming to Southampton
Shari's Place is opening a Hamptons outpost in Southampton Village.
The retailer behind an independent women's apparel boutique that opened on the Gold Coast in 1979 is now preparing to debut a sister shop in the Hamptons.
The sign for Shari's Place appeared at 29 Main Street in Southampton Village in recent weeks, and the store is expected to open its doors in time for Memorial Day.
Among the designers and brands featured at Shari Kaynes' eponymous store in Greenvale are Alberta Feretti, Belstaff, Balmain, Chloe, Derek Lam, Etro, Maison Martin Margiela, Roland Mouret, Stella McCartney and Temperley. A statement on the opening of the new store also points out that Kaynes' prides herself on supporting emerging designers, such as Crippon and Hania.
The Hamptons shop will feature Kaynes' own line of light leather and suede apparel, which is made in New York, and a curated designer collection exclusive to Southampton, according to the store statement. The offerings are intended to be ready-to-wear for resort shoppers.
Kaynes opened her first store in King's Point more than 30 years ago, then relocated to Greenvale in 2011.
