Delays Expected on Longview Road for 1 to 2 Weeks
Shinnecock Hills motorists affected.
Southampton Town is advising motorists that they should expect delays on Longview Road in Shinnecock Hills for the next week or two.
The Long Island Power Authority is planning a lane closure on Longview Road east of Peconic Road to address electrical infrastructure that needs immediate attention, according to the town.
"The time frame for this road closure is undetermined at this time due to the complexity of the electrical repair," the town said in a statement Wednesday. "LIPA is advising that it could take one to two weeks to complete."
The road will be open to traffic, but delays are expected as LIPA flagmen direct vehicles, and the town suggests taking an alternate route.
