Stefanie Sacks, MS, CNS, CDN is a Culinary Nutritionist who works hands-on with individuals and groups in transition to a healthier way of eating as a food counselor, nutrition educator and chef instructor. She has been studying food and healing for twenty-five years, has her Masters of Science in nutrition from Columbia University, is a Certified Nutrition Specialist and is a graduate of The Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts. In 1999 she launched her private practice working one on one to help prevent illness and restore health through personalized nutrition therapy and culinary guidance. In addition to her private practice, Stefanie is part of the nutrition faculty at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health helping to create and teach innovative culinary nutrition programs. Stefanie created Food Solutions: A Gateway to Healing, a workshop series that represented a seamless translation of the most recent disease specific medical science to a client’s own plate with the kitchen as the centerpiece of education. Supported by The Palette Fund, Donna Karan’s Urban Zen Center hosted the series from 2010-2011. Stefanie is currently producing and hosting a public access show, Chew on This. Her book contributions include The Thriving Child by Erica Reid, Crazy Sexy Diet by Kris Carr and Power Up by Dr. Woodson Merrell and Kathy Merrell. Her expertise has been featured in Lunch NYC—Food for the Future, Discovery Health’s National Body Challenge, ABC Eyewitness News—Seven On Call with Dr. Jay Adlersberg and ABC News. Print and online media contributions are extensive from Harper’s Bazaar, O Magazine and Teen Vogue to The Huffington Post and Healthy Eats by The Food Network. Stefanie practices throughout the Hamptons, NYC and vicinity. She lives on the East End of Long Island with her husband and two very active young boys.
