Balancing Acts and Picky Eaters
The Merrick Mom Council tackles every day challenges.
I am so excited to be Patch's choice for the editor of Merrick! Previously, I was an editorial intern at ICD Publications in East Setauket, N.Y., and then worked my way up the ranks at the Hearst Corporation, leaving in December 2010 to take on my new position here.
I am a 2007 graduate from Stony Brook University, holding a B.A. in English with a minor in journalism, and graduated in May 2011 with my Master of Arts in English from Hofstra University.
I love Jones Beach, music, eating, writing, talking, taking pictures and sleeping.
As editor of the Merrick Patch, I want to keep the lines of communication open all the times, and I will try my best to make sure I get to know the hot-button issues! Please feel free to e-mail me at emily.cappiello@patch.com.
