The building was originally Southampton High School, and the old elementary school is now Southampton Town Hall next door. The elementary school has a dual language program in which children, starting in kindergarten, learn all of their subjects in both English and Spanish, on alternate days. By the time they reach middle school, students are nearly fluent in both languages.
