The corps's service area covers approximately 48 square miles and borders to the north with Sag Harbor Volunteer Ambulance, the the east with Bridgehampton Fire Department, to the south with Southampton Village Volunteer Ambulance and to the west with Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance.
Southampton Volunteer Ambulance answers nearly 800 calls each year. The corps has three advanced life support ambulances, two advanced life support first responder vehicles and two basic life support first responder vehicles. There are approximately 50 volunteer members.

The ambulance…More corps primarily transports patients to Southampton Hospital, but according to emergency protocol, the corps may travel to hospitals further west or transfer a patient to a Suffolk County Police Medevac helicopter. Department meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 7pm. Southampton Village trustee Paul Robinson is the village board liason to the ambulance corps.
