Sag Harbor Village, founded in 1707, staddles the border of Southampton Town and East Hampton Town. The village'sMore municipal building includes the clerk's office mayor's office, trustees' office, building department, treasurer, fire marshal and tax assessor.  The village board also meets at village hall, on the second floor.  The current mayor is Brian Gilbride. Village elections are held the third Thursday in June.
Southampton Cultural Center

The Levitas Center For The Arts at the Southampton Cultural Center includes a gallery and performing arts theater. TheMore center hosts multiple plays and musicals each year as part of its Center Stage series under the direction of Michael Disher. It is also the home of Peconic Youth Orchestra, the Chamber Music Series and the Rising Stars Piano Series. The center hosts camps and other activities for youth during the summer. Veterans Memorial Hall is attached to the Cultural Center building. The cultural center is also where voting and debates take place for Southampton Village elections.
