Southampton Elementary School had a major renovation in 2009 that also included an extension, which gave the school moreMore classrooms and its first elevator. The extra space also allowed the prekindergarten to move from rented space at the First Presbyterian Church of Southampton to the elementary school building. The building was originally Southampton High School, and the old elementary school is now Southampton Town Hall next door. The elementary school has a dual language program in which children, starting in kindergarten, learn all of their subjects in both English and Spanish, on alternate days. By the time they reach middle school, students are nearly fluent in both languages.

Programs are designed for children and teens 4 years old and older and geared to all skill levels. SYA summer camp takes place at Southampton Elementary School. The Reverend Marvin Dozier serves as the director of operations, and Mary Topping is president of the board of directors.

The general services, land management and long-range planning offices are also located here, as well as the board room, where meetings of the town board, planning board, zoning board of appeals and other town government bodies are held. The building was formerly Southampton Elementary School, now located next door to town hall. Southampton Town Hall is the destination for a variety of permits, including building permits, dog licenses, shellfishing and peddling permits, handicap parking permits, marriage licenses, special events permits and taxi licenses.

Human Resources of the Hamptons is a charitable organization that provides food, clothing and other aid to those inMore need. HRH has a food pantry for families to visit on a weekly basis and also provides a Thanksgiving meal and holiday gifts. The charity also facilitates home heating oil assistance and rides to doctor's appointments. It is located beneath Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary's parish hall.

HRH organized a program at Southampton Elementary school called After School Academy that provides tutoring for children whose families normally couldn't afford it. Other programs include Serve Our Seniors, performing maintenance on homes of seniors living on a fixed income, and Care for the Caregiver, which delievrs hot meals to the terminally ill and their families.

Every December Human Resources holds The Polar Bear Plunge, a dip in the ocean at Coopers Beach in Southampton Village. Participants donate a minimum of $25 to participate or get sponsors, and the proceeds benefit the food pantry.
