Kindergarten students are tuitioned to East Hampton School District. For grades five through 12, parents have the option of having the district tuition their children to either East Hampton or the Sag Harbor School District.</p> <p>The superintendent is Lee Ellwood and the head teacher is Diana McGinniss. School board meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month at 7pm.</p>

The department serves Bridgehampton and Sagaponack and parts of Water Mill and Wainscott. It often provides mutual aid to Southampton and Sag Harbor fire departments. The current firehouse was built in 1983. The department has a Little League field behind the firehouse. The chief is Richard Thayer and Steve Halsey if chairman of the <a href="http://bridgehamptonfiredistrict.com">board of fire commissioners</a>.
