The school provides English as a second language, a school psychologist and guidance counselors. There is also a robust athletic department. The sports teams are known as The Mariners. The principal is Timothy W. Mundell, Ed.D.

It has an active PTSA andMore a close relationship with Bay Street Theatre for after-school performing arts programs and internships. Pierson also offers English as a second language, or ESL. To graduate, students are required to complete hours of community service. Because Pierson is a small school, its athletes participate in sports teams that are also made up of Bridgehampton High School and East Hampton High School students.</p> <p>The principal is George Nichols, and Gary Kalish is the assistant principal.</p>

Bridgehampton School

The Bridgehampton Union Free School District serves children from 3-year-old pre-kindergarten through 12th grade at itsMore school on Montauk Highway. The school features an "edible garden," and its fresh vegetables are served in the school cafeteria. Because the school has just 170 students, most of its sports teams are shared with East Hampton High School and/or Pierson High School in Sag Harbor. However, Bridgehampton does have a very competitive boys basketball team, The Killer Bees, which has won several state championships. Out-of-district students are accepted for a tuition fee. The superintendent is Dr. Lois Favre and the principal is John Pryor.

The Tuckahoe School was built in 1938 and extensions were added on in 1958, 1988 and 1995. There are also portableMore classrooms for prekindergarten. It is the sole school in the Tuckahoe Common School District. It serves children through eighth grade. After that, parents have the option of sending their children to either Westhampton Beach High School or Southampton High School. Athletics for seventh and eighth graders are through Southampton School District, but there are also sports clubs at Tuckahoe. The current superintendent-prinicipal is Chris Dyer.

Southampton Intermediate School includes grades 5 through 8. Students in seventh and eighth grade may take highMore school-level courses in math, earth science and Spanish. The sports team is the Mariners. Annual school field trips include outings to the Parrish Art Museum, Scallop Pond, Hoyt Farm, Blydenburg Park, the Marine Science Field Study Outdoor Learning Lab with the Group for the East End. There is an active Parent-Teacher Organization. The principal is Tim Frazier.
