The fireMore department's Firemen's Memorial Field is next to the communication association building and includes an athletic field and playground. Prior to the North Sea Fire Department's founding in 1934, the hamlet of North Sea received fire protection as a courtesy of the Southampton Fire Department.

Southampton Fire Department has a collection of antique fire trucks that it keeps for parades and special events. TheMore trucks are housed in two big red "barns" on Flying Point Road. The fire department was founded in 1881 and has accumulated several trucks since then.

Bridgehampton Fire Department, a volunteer fire service, has eight companies: Ambulance Company, Dive Team, Fire Police,More Light & Hose, Mack Company, Packard Company, Rescue Squad and Tanker Squad. The department serves Bridgehampton and Sagaponack and parts of Water Mill and Wainscott. It often provides mutual aid to Southampton and Sag Harbor fire departments. The current firehouse was built in 1983. The department has a Little League field behind the firehouse. The chief is Richard Thayer and Steve Halsey if chairman of the board of fire commissioners.

The Sag Harbor Fire Departments headquarters, including a dispatch room and the chiefs' office, is on Brick Kiln Road.More Just behind it, on Columbia Street, it the substation for the Otter House Company. One of New York's oldest volunteer fire departments -and one of the oldest in the country- the Sag Harbor Fire Department has five companies: Gazelle Hose, Montauk Hose, Otter Hose, Murray Hill Hose and Phoenix Hook & Ladder. The department also has a heavy rescue squad, fire police and a dive/water rescue team. Sag Harbor often drills with North Sea, Southampton, Bridgehampton and East Hampton fire departments. The department also sponsors youth soccer teams and offers scholarships to Sag Harbor students. There is an open house every year during fire prevention week, the first or second week of October. The department has a fire museum open between Fourth of July and Labor Day, on the corner of Church Street and Sage Street.  The current chief is Wayne Mortensen.

This museum is located within what was once Sag Harbor Village Hall and a Sag Harbor Fire Department firehouse. ItsMore collection includes antique trophies, antique fire apparatuses, shoulder patches from fire departments all over the country and a 1926 Model T Ford. Tours for groups of 10 or more are available by appointment from April through October. The building has no heating system and closes for the winter.
