The school features an "edible garden," and its fresh vegetables are served in the school cafeteria. Because the school has just 170 students, most of its sports teams are shared with East Hampton High School and/or Pierson High School in Sag Harbor. However, Bridgehampton does have a very competitive boys basketball team, The Killer Bees, which has won several state championships. Out-of-district students are accepted for a tuition fee. The superintendent is Dr. Lois Favre and the principal is John Pryor.

It has an active PTSA…More and a close relationship with Bay Street Theatre for after-school performing arts programs and internships. Pierson also offers English as a second language, or ESL. Because it is a small school, the Pierson athletes participate in sports teams that are also made up of Bridgehampton and East Hampton students.

The district serves the villages of Sag Harbor and North Haven, as well as parts of Noyac and Bridgehampton. The entire school population meets each morning for a 20-minute program in the gymnasium that includes songs and presentations on that school year's themes.
The elementary school has an active PTA, a school psychologist, guidance counselor, reading teacher, speech pathologist, special education teachers and a social worker. There is also an English as a Second Language, or ESL, staff. The principal is Matthew Malone.
