Located at The Southampton United Methodist Church, The Children's School has a play group, nursery school and pre-kindergarten. The founder and director is Kathy Bishop, wife of U.S. Congressman Tim Bishop. The school was originally located on the Southampton College campus, where Congressman Bishop was provost, but it moved to the church in 2010. Though it rents space from the church, it is not a religious preschool. A one-on-one aide for special needs students is provided by local school districts.
