Southampton Day Care Center
Southampton Day Care Center, offers half-day and full-day day care and prekindergarten for children ages 2 to 5. It was founded in 1986 in a private home by Southampton resident Kathleen Davis under the name Fountain of Youth before moving to a church basement. In 2001, it moved into a new facility on David Whites Lane. It is licensed by the state and has certified teachers. Activities and lessons include computer lessons, pre-writing, numbers, sciences, manipulatives, arts and crafts, music, field trips, block building, tables games and puzzles and stories and plays. The school has two age-appropriate playgrounds.
