Alternatives for Children

Alternatives for Children is a non-profit pre-kindergarten school for special needs children. South Fork School Districts pay for special needs students to attend Alternatives for Children, where their education needs, such as speech therapy, are addressed. The school rents classroom space from Sacred Hearts Roman Catholic Church, but it is not affiliated with a religion. Southampton is one of Alternatives for Children's four sites, the others being Setauket, Melville and Aquebogue.
