The Nutcracker will be performed in Westhampton Beach on Dec. 14 and Dec. 15. Tickets are now on sale at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center for the "Nutcracker Sweet," which is a story of a young girl who takes a magical journey to the Land of Sweets alongside her Nutcracker Prince.

East End Cares for Leyte: A Benefit for the Victims of Typhoon Haiyan Please join East End Cares in the spirit of the holidays for a benefit to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in Leyte, Philippines on Friday at Gurney’s Inn from 7 to 11 p.m. There'll be live music (with the possibility of a surprise celebrity performance), Filipino-inspired hors d'oeuvres prepared by some of the area's best chefs, local beer and wine, raffles, lots of dancing and great fun in support of a great cause. 100% of net ticket sales and donations will go directly to providing critical necessities for survival – food, water, medicine, shelter. Santa at the Square

Santa will be at the Amagansett Square on Saturday to visit with kids from 12 to 2 p.m. There will also be face painting, ornament decorating, and cookie decorating outdoors.

Holiday Craft Fair

The Springs Presbyterian Community Church will hold the eighth annual holiday craft fair on Saturday starting at 9:30 a.m. Great opportunity to do holiday shopping for unique gifts. There will be knit & crochet items, sea shell art and jewelry, ornaments, and much more. Snacks will be available for sale.

East Hampton

The Nutcracker

The Hampton Ballet Theatre School will present their fifth annual production of Tchaikovsky’s beloved Nutcracker on Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 1 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at Guild Hall’s John Drew Theater. Price: Advanced ticket sales are $20 for children (under 12 years of age) and $25 for adults for general orchestra seating. Day of performance tickets sales are $25 for children (under 12 years of age) and $30 for adults for regular orchestra seating. Premium orchestra, box seats, balcony and group rates are also available.

Rowdy Hall and Golden Eagle Celebrate the Season of Giving

Rowdy Hall kicks off the holiday season with a visit from Santa Claus on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Santa will be sitting by the fire to take pictures with children of all ages and make sure their gifts are on his list. In addition, children and adults can make a holiday card for a veteran at the Walter Reed Hospital with supplies provided by The Golden Eagle Art Store. Rowdy will also be collecting canned and shelf stable food for the local food pantries. Dreesen’s Donuts and warm apple cider will be served. Cost: A suggested donation of $2 per photo will be collected for the local food pantries.

Sag Harbor

'Mixed Nuts' at the Bay Street Theatre

Studio 3 presents "Mixed Nuts" at Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor, starring Adelia Rattray as Claire and Sarah Levine as the tormenting sister Blaire. Show dates are Dec. 13 and 14 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 15 at 2 p.m.Tickets are limited. Price: $20

Madoo Holiday Market

The Madoo Conservancy in Sagaponack will old a holiday market on Saturday starting at 10 a.m. Homemade gifts galore, gardening books and great gifts for gardeners will be served. Hot cider will be served.

Harbor Bells Christmas Concert

The Harbor Bells will perform at the Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 5 p.m.

Shinnecock Revival Center's Christmas Party

The Oysterponds Elementary PTA Holiday Auction

Takes place Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. at our annual Holiday Auction. Prizes include a Kindle Fire HD, an American Girl doll, two weeks of camp at Quinipet, Splish Splash tickets, Adventureland tickets and many, many more prizes. Winners need not be present to win. There will also be baked goods and a 50/50.

Christmas in Cutchogue

Slated for Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Cutchogue Fire Department and Library. The family event is free. Festivities start with a magic show, followed by Santa arriving by helicopter at 10:30 a.m.  Santa will then ride by fire truck to the library for pictures and a gift for the kids. Bring your own camera.

"Eat, Drink and Be Sparkling"

Riverhead

A beloved Riverhead holiday tradition, the 14th annual bonfire on the Peconic Riverfront, will honor an assessment clerk who lost her life this year. The bonfire will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 3 to 8 p.m., on the Peconic Riverfront, behind the East End Arts building, near the Riverhead Town Christmas tree.

The bonfire, said Councilman Jim Wooten, will be held in memory of Loretta Trojanowski, who lost her battle with breast cancer this year.

The event features not only the bonfire, but also, caroling and a visit from Santa on his custom North Pole ice boat; Santa will light the Christmas tree by the Peconic River and greet children.

Festivities will also include a DJ, free hot cocoa, and cookies. The event is sponsored by Riverhead Town and the Riverhead Business Improvement District.  A rain date has been scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 15.
