Sidewalk Sale

The Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring the Annual Fall Sidewalk Sale. This event will run for three consecutive weekends - September 28 & 29 (Saturday and Sunday), October 5 & 6 (Saturday and Sunday), and October 12, 13 and 14 (Saturday, Sunday & Monday).

Head over to the Quogue Wildlife Refuge on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. for a fall paddle tour. One Hour self-guided paddles on Old Ice Pond during foliage season is great fun! Single Kayaks available for adults and kids 12 and older. $10 per person.

15th Annual Celebration of the Long Pond Greenbelt

Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt, the South Fork Natural History Museum, and the Peconic Land Trust invite the whole family to enjoy and celebrate the beautiful fall colors of the Greenbelt at the SoFo Natural History Museum in Bridgehampton. The day will include games, crafts, and hikes, starting at 10 a.m. Take a migratory bird walk with naturalist, birder, and published author John Turner, a reptile hike with “Snake-Man” Chris Chapin, enjoy a nature puppet show with Goat on a Boat, meet live animals from the Quogue Wildlife Refuge and more. Free for all.

Art Exhibition

A reception for an art exhibit featuring the works of Charles "Chas" Addams, the beloved cartoonist who created The Addams Family characters, will be held at 6 to 8 p.m. at the Southampton Center. RSVP.

Animation Master

Academy Award-winning animator and historian John Canemaker brings Windsor McCay's life and work back into the spotlight in an entertaining, interactive multimedia show at the Southampton Center that includes four of McCay's surviving films: Little Nemo (1911); How a Mosquito Operates (1912); Gertie the Dinosaur (1914); and The Sinking of the Lusitania (1918). The event will be held at 4:30 p.m.

East Hampton

Guild Hall Joins Smithsonian magazine's Museum Day Live!

The Museum at Guild Hall will open its doors free of charge as part of Smithsonian magazine’s ninth annual Museum Day Live! Experience our current exhibitions featuring the recent works of Chuck Close and sculpture by Joel Perlman. A nationwide event, Museum Day Live! offers free admission to visitors presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket at a participating museum or cultural institution. The Museum Day Live! ticket is available to download at Smithsonian.com/museumday. Visitors who present the Museum Day Live! ticket will gain free entrance for two at participating venues for one day only.

East End SEPTO Family Fun Fair

This is a fun family Saturday at the Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce. Enjoy a petting zoo, bounce house, obstacle course, games, face painting, prizes, dunk tank, great food, music, chinese auction at 11 a.m.

Art Donovan, "The Art of Steampunk," will speak at East Hampton Library at 1 p.m on Saturday.

Meet Fred Overton

On Sunday at 12 p.m. The Hideaway in Montauk is hosting a meet and greet with Fred Overton, who is running for the East Hampton Town Board on the Republican ticket. Donations are welcome.

Extraordinary Drawings Gallery Opening

On Friday at 4 p.m. head over to the Ross School Gallery. An exhibition of work by invited local artists, Ross School art teachers, and selected Ross students.

Maidstone Park Beach Clean Up

On Saturday at 9 a.m. help pitch in over at Maidstone Park Beach by cleaning up the area with your neighbors to maintain its pristine condition.

Asiatica Trunk Show

The LongHouse Reserve will host a trunk show on Friday, September 27 from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday, September 28 from 1-5 p.m. featuring the best and most beautiful garments from Asiatica's collections.

Head to the Dark Horse Restaurant on Main Street in Riverhead on Friday for a rare opportunity to see performing and recording artist Max Feldschuh play solo jazz vibraphone. Show starts at 7 p.m.
