OLD WHALERS' COMMUNITY HOUSE 5K: Too much turkey? Run it off at Old Whalers' Community House 5K. Starting on Water Street, route is a mostly flat loop on Main St., along Glover St. and around the rolling streets of Redwood; finish at Water St. Registration fee: $30. Sign up at www.islandrunning.net or register on race day. Proceeds benefit the Community House Fund at Old Whalers', established to maintain the spaces used by many community groups every week, including the Sag Harbor Food Pantry.

HOLIDAY MARKET: Hosted by Pierson MS/HS PTSA, the holiday market in the Pierson gym from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Thanksgiving SATURDAY "Art Walk in the Hamptons"There are two ways to enjoy Thanksgiving SATURDAY "Art Walk in the Hamptons": 1) SELF-GUIDED, 1PM - 4PM. Stroll with family and friends. Maps available to upload. 2) ARTIST LED art walks in Bridgehampton, East Hampton, and Sag Harbor at 1 p.m.

Joseph J. Theinert 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament: The Joseph J. Theinert Memorial Fund will host the fourth annual 1LT Joseph J. Theinert 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament at the Shelter Island School Gymnasium. The day will include a double-elimination tournament and gift drive for veterans.

The Wiz: "The Wiz," starring Elisia Ivey as Dorothy and co-starring Tramar Pettawa as the Scarecrow, Justin Steele as Tin Man, and Leyland Patrick as the Lion, will be performed at Southampton High School at 2 and 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students 17 and under, as well as seniors.

Parade of Lights & Annual Christmas Tree Lighting: The annual Parade of Lights takes place in Southampton Village, followed by the annual Christmas tree lighting at 5:15 p.m. at Agawam Park. Santa & Refreshments at the Southampton Cultural Center following the tree lighting.

Candlelight Tour of the Rogers Mansion: The Rogers Mansion looks its best during the Holiday Season with holiday decoration throughout the 1843 Mansion’s period rooms lit by candles. Also see the new “A 1910 Christmas in Southampton” exhibit from the Museum’s collection of dolls, toys, games and dollhouses. Grandparents, mom, dad and the kids are all welcome. Tours begin at 4 pm in the Museum Shop. Cookies and cider will be served after the tour. Tickets at $10 adults, free for members and children 17 and under.

A Hoagy Carmichael Tribute: On Saturday, the Bridgehampton Museum will be hosting its next parlor concert at the Bridgehampton Archives on Montauk Highway when jazz singer Alexis Cole will present a tribute to Hoagy Carmichael. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets, which cost $25 ($15 for museum members) can be purchased on the museum’s website via PayPal, or at the door the night of the concert.

Stargazing Over Vineyard Field: The time around the new moon is ideal for viewing the stars. Join the Friends of the Long Pond Grenbelt member Ryan Horn as he points out the constellations, stars and planets that are visible (complete with the stories behind them) and explains which constellations to expect in the upcoming winter sky. Hot cider and doughnuts will be served. Meet at the SoFo Museum parking lot in Bridgheampton at 7 p.m.
