Shelter Pet of the Week: 'Beauty Queen' Buttons Needs a New Castle
Adoption fee is waived on cats older than 9 years during June.
This week, Southampton Animal Shelter is hoping to match Buttons with her next owner.
"This sweet, 10-year-old beauty queen is looking for a new home to reign in," said Linda Goldsmith, of the shelter.
June is cat adoption month at Southampton Animal Shelter, where they are offering nine lives for $9 — cats over 9 months old are $9 and cats older than 9 years are free.
All animals are licensed, up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and have been spayed or neutered. Adoption fees typically range from $40 to $60 for a cat and from $60 to $125 for a dog.
