PHOTOS: Fresh Air Fund Kids Arrive in the Hamptons

City children will spend two weeks or more with local families.

New York City children who will spend the next two weeks or more of summer vacation living with volunteer host families in Southampton, Water Mill, Hampton Bays, Sagaponack, East Quogue, East Hampton, Westhampton Beach, Riverhead and Sag Harbor arrived on the South Fork Wednesday afternoon.

Their trips were arranged by the Fresh Air Fund, a not-for-profit that reports it has provided free summer experiences to more than 1.7 million low-income children since 1877.

There were two drop-off locations, St. Rosalie's in Hampton Bays and the .

July 18 at 6 p.m, the will host a free barbecue for locals interested in hosting children in the future to meet Fresh Air Fund families and visitors.
