PHOTOS: ARF Designer Showhouse Benefits Shelter

Rooms in ARF Thrift and Treasure Shop in Sagaponack re-imagined by top designers.

For the third consecutive Memorial Day weekend, Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons Thrift and Treasure Shop underwent a transformation into a designer showhouse, with rooms by top Hamptons architects, designers and interior decorators.

A cocktail party was held Saturday when guests could peruse the rooms and purchase any of the furniture, home accessories and decorations used in the designs. However, everything stayed in place until Tuesday, so more Sagaponack residents and visitors could tour the showhouse throughout the weekend and get the complete experience.

For the 2013 showhouse, the designers were Elizabeth Dow, James Huniford, Ann Madonia and Susan Madonia, Annie M. Napoliello, Barbara Ostrom and Preston Phillips.

The ARF mobile adoption unit was on hand Saturday, with cats and dogs available for adoption.

Proceeds benefit ARF in Wainscott and the shelter's animal rescue efforts.
