School News - Week of Oct. 21-15

October is Anti-Bullying Awareness and Prevention Month.  The Student Council has planned a Spirit Week for October 21st-25th in an effort to make Tuckahoe School bully free.  See the list below on what our students will be wearing…

 

Monday, October 21st – “Hats on to Bullying Prevention”

·         Pajama Day  *Please be mindful of our school’s dress policy

Thursday, October 24th – “Join the Bully Free Team”

·         Wear a shirt/jersey from your favorite team

Friday, October 25th – “Stand Together”

·         Wear pink to support breast cancer awareness

                

During this month of October Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our school is showing their support by wearing pink on Fridays throughout the month of October.  Each Friday, our amazing staff will hold a breakfast to raise funds for the Ellen Hermanson Breast Care Center at Southampton Hospital and every Thursday in October, our school nurse, Wendy Meyer, has our students of all ages making rainbow loom pink bracelets that will be on sale during the last week of October to help raise funds for the Ellen Hermanson Breast Care Center at Southampton Hospital.  School Picture Retake Day is Tuesday, October 29th.    The PTO Pottery Night this year is Friday, November 8th, 2013.   Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, November 21st and Friday, November 22nd; students will have early dismissal these two days at 11:23 a.m.  Our PTO Thanksgiving Feast this year is going to be held on Tuesday, November 26th, 2013.
