TUCKAHOE SCHOOL NEWS
The 7th and 8th graders in Mrs. Stephanie Neill's English class entered the V.F.W. writing contest, "The Patriots Pen." This year's competition included the theme, "What Patriotism Means to Me." In this essay, students needed to include knowledge of the subject, development of a theme, and clearly express their ideas. Further stipulations of the piece included that the essay must be between 300-400 words. The students met the November 1st deadline! Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, November 21st and Friday, November 22nd; students will have early dismissal these two days at 11:23 a.m. Our PTO Thanksgiving Feast this year is going to be held on Tuesday, November 26th, 2013. Thanksgiving recess this year will be Wednesday, November 27th, Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th.
