On Monday, December 16, 2013, Mrs. Christina Collins’s third grade class read Night Tree by Eve Bunting. In the story, the family decorates a tree in the forest for the animals. Inspired by this story, Mrs. Collins’s class decorated the tree in front of the school with pinecone bird feeders. The students were very excited to be able to give to the animals in such a caring way. On Saturday, December 14th, Tuckahoe’s Principal, Mr. Kevin Storch, 8th grader, Margaret Hattrick, and a few Tuckahoe graduates participated in the Polar Bear Plunge benefiting the Human resources of the Hamptons. Student Council members and Tuckahoe students raised $455! The PTO Family Fun Night at Southampton Youth Services this year will be on Friday, January 24th (more details to follow).
