Unfortunately journalism's business model is downward trending. Therefore amazingly gifted and talented writers,editors and reporters who love to live in the world of the written word are being disheartened because they sometimes do not see a future for them in the field they love. For the last few years a child of the east end Taylor K. Vecsey has been reporting, editing and informing so many east enders about everything going on. Her wit, spirit and LOVE for the east end was so obvious to us who also love this beautiful place to live.
When I parted ways from a east end local weekly free paper the Patch people helped me still reach out to say what I needed to say and assisted me in so many wonderful ways. They were/are young and had a can do spirit I hope they never lose. Ms. Vescey is a gifted, caring, young woman who has a big future ahead of her because she has a heart and soul and knows right from wrong and is not afraid to do things to make the world/east end a better place to live.
Her passage through her professional life is changing vessels, and as she awaits her next assignment/employment I offer my THANK YOU for making me proud of her being the best example of what Journalism can offer.
