Lara Fabian at Carnegie Hall : Review

It was a special event when Lara Fabian played her first Official U.S. Concert ever in New York's Carnegie Hall this last Friday night (Dec.27.) The international superstar's audience was comprised of mostly French, Italian, Russian and American fans. Not knowing all that much about the magic that is Ms. Fabian's style of singing I enjoyed her singing skills. She sang with passion, flair, operatic skill, with French cabaret intimacy.
Her classic songs such Je T'aime although sung in French had me spellbound. The tour is promoting her new album "Le Secret" of which I had not heard a single song yet I enjoyed the show. Ms. Fabian who was born in Belgium to a Flemish father and an Italian mother, is fluent in French, Italian, Spanish, Flemish, English and also had a hit album in Russian. She has a hit song in Hebrew.

The crowd was made up mostly of fans very familiar with her work who often stood and applauded in the middle of many of the songs when Ms. Fabian hit the highest of notes.  Lara Fabian has now unleashed her talent for an American audience. Long time admirer Long island native Cindi Sansone-Braff said of the performance, "Lara Fabian is a very powerful singer who connects to her audience. We can feel her love, I am so glad I was able to finally see her sing live."
