'Unconditional Love' Benefit Will Honor Scarboroughs

Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation fundraiser is Saturday.

Last year, Chuck Scarborough — the NBC 4 news anchor — and wife Ellen at their Southampton Village home, to benefit the Southampton Aninal Shelter Foundation.

This Saturday, the couple will be the honorees, for their efforts on behalf of animals in need of a home.

The benefit will take place in Southampton at the waterfront estate of Avon’s Sandra McConnell, emceed by Jane Hanson, the co-host of NBC 4's "New York Live."

"New York Live" will showcase dogs and cats on its Thursday adoption segment, according to NBC. The Scarboroughs have a dog, Oliver, and cat, Stanley, and they recently adopted a new addition to their family, shelter dog Emma.

Other NBC 4 personalities are expected to attend, including "Today in New York" co-anchor Darlene Rodriguez and "The Debrief" host David Ushery.

Earlier this month, philanthropist and event chairwoman at MacKenzie-Childs in Southampton Village.

The third annual Unconditional Love benefit takes place Saturday on Captain's Neck Lane in Southampton with cocktails at 7 p.m. and dinner and dancing at 8 p.m. Individual tickets are $750, but there are a limited number of $500 tickets available.
