Hamptons Agenda: Christie Brinkley, Angelina Ballerina, Megan Mullally

The 64th annual Artist and Writers Celebrity Softball Game takes place at Herrick Park, Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue hosts its first benefit, and 'Big Maybelle' continues at Bay Street Theatre.

End of summer parties and events are beginning to pop-up on the East End, but there is still plenty to do to keep you busy all weekend long. Here are some of the hottest events happening in the Hamptons this weekend.

Amagansett

BENEFIT: Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine will hold a fundraiser for "Research without Cruelty" at a home at 360 Cranberry Road on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. Alec Baldwin, Dr. Neal Barnard, Dennis & Elizabeth Kuninich are expected to attend.

East Hampton

ANGELINA BALLERINA: Katherine Holabir and Angelina Ballerina, along with three real ballerinas will be at BookHampton in East Hampton on Sunday at 10 a.m.  Admission is free for this event.  For more information call 631-324-4939.

CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY: "Celebrity Autobiography" is a comedic ensemble of memoirs from a wide range of celebrities created by Emmy-nominated writer and performer Eugene Pack and Dayle Reyfel that will be showcased at Guild Hall on Friday night with two shows at 7 and 9:30 p.m.  The celebrity all-star cast includes: Alec Baldwin, Christie Brinkley, Scott Adsit, Illeana Douglas, Tovah Feldshuh, Eugene Pack, Dayle Reyfel and Jerry O'Connell. Prime orchestra seating is $65 and reserved seating is $40. To purchase tickets call 631-324-4050 or 866-811-4111.

ART GARDEN TOUR: An Art Garden Tour will be held beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday at Guild Hall. There will be a continental breakfast and an illustrated lecture given by award winning architect Edmund Hollander, who will sign copies of his new book, "The Private Oasis."  From noon to 5 p.m. garden tours will begin allowing you to visit five private gardens.  Tickets for the lecture, breakfast, and tour are $100. ARTIST-WRITERS GAME: Postponed due to rain last week, the 64th annual Artists and Writers Game will be held on Saturday at Herrick Park. The first pitch is at 2 p.m. Batting practice is at noon. Stepping up to the plate this year for the Artists include, actor Mark Feuerstein ("Royal Pains"), model Christie Brinkley, artist Eric Ernst, actor Gregg Bello, comedienne and actress Ali Wentworth, among others. On the Writers side, team members include Food Network star Giada de Laurentiis, television journalist George Stephanopoulos, writer/author Mike Lupica, chef and author Katie Lee, former major league baseball player Jim Leyritz, and more. Proceeds from ticket sales and a raffle raise money for East End Hospice, East Hampton Day Care Learning Center, Phoenix House of Long Island and The Retreat. There is a suggestion donation of $10.

KIDS FEST: East Hampton Indoor Tennis will be hosting Free Arts NYC and Kidsfest: Hamptons on Saturday at 1 p.m.  The family celebration of tennis, arts and culture will be co-chaired by "Gossip Girl" star Kelly Rutherford.  Funds raised from the event will benefit Free Arts NYC's art-based mentoring programs in New York City.  For more information call 212-974-9092.

Sagaponack

WINE & MUSIC: Wolffer Estate Vineyard is hosting Sunset Fridays & Saturdays throughout the summer at the Wine Stand on Montauk Highway from 5 p.m.   until sunset every Friday and from 5:30 p.m. till sunset every Saturday. Live music will be playing until the sun sets, while wine is served by the bottle and the glass with cheese and charcuterie plates available for purchase. ANIMAL RESCUE BENEFIT: The Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue will host their inaugural benefit to support the rescue on Saturday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the private residence of Michelle Neufeld Montak and Edward Montak in Sagaponack.  Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door.  There will be cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, silent auction, and 50/50 raffle.  To purchase tickets call 631-903-9215.

Bridgehampton

HAMPTON CLASSIC: The Hampton Classic Horse Show kicks off Sunday on 65-acre showgrounds at 240 Snake Hollow Road. The Classic is one of the largest outdoor horse shows in the U.S., and a great event for spotting celebrities. The $20,000 Nicolock Time Challenge begins at 8 a.m. in the Grand Prix Ring, followed by the opening day ceremony at 1:30 p.m. and the $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby. Admission is $10 per person or $20 per carload. Children younger than 6 are free.

OUTDOOR MOVIE: "King Of Hearts" will be shown outdoors at Silas Marder  Gallery in Bridgehampton on Friday at 9 p.m. as part of the weekly "Films on the Haywall" series. All films are free and you may bring beach chairs, blankets and a picnic.

WINE & FOOD CLASSIC BENEFIT: Harvest East End: The Wine & Food Classic will take place at 240 Snake Hollow Road on Saturday at 6 p.m. The evening's net proceeds will benefit East End Hospice, Group for the East End, and the Peconic Land Trust. AUTHOR TALK: Mike Lupica, journalist, television and radio commentator, and novelist will be at the final author to speak in the Fridays at Five series at the Hampton Library from 5 to 6 p.m.  Lupica, the author of "Game Changers" and the upcoming novel "True Legend" due out in September will be on hand to discuss his books and career. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. Admission is $15 and beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be served.  

Sag Harbor

THEATRE: Tony Award-winning Lillas White is starring in the world premiere of "Big Maybelle: Soul of the Blues" at Bay Street Theatre through September 2.  White stars as legendary blues singer Maybelle Smith providing an evening of music performance that is said to tell the story of how Smith was a big woman with an even bigger talent who took on the all the challenges that 1950s America gave.  Weekend performances run Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., and Sunday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $66 and $76. 

PANCAKE BREAKFAST: The Sag Harbor Fire Department will host a pancake breakfast at the firehouse on Sunday at 8 a.m.  The breakfast is $12 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and under.  The buffet includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, "Famous Firehouse" homefries, orange juice, and coffee.  

Southampton

BOOK SIGNING & DESSERT: Kathleen King of Tate's Bake Shop will introduce and sign her new book, "Baking for Friends: 120 scrumptious recipes from Southampton's favorite baker" at Tate's Bake Shop on Saturday at 3 p.m.  All are encouraged to stop by and meet the author while enjoying some dessert.  Admission to this event is free.

AUTHOR TALK: Cookbook author Bonnie Verbitsky will be at BookHampton in Southampton on Friday at 3 p.m. to discuss and sign her new book, "Home Cooked Hamptons." Admission to this event is free.

YAPPY HOUR: Bring your dog to the Rogers Mansion Museum Complex on Saturday at 5 p.m. to enjoy "barkatinis and yappatizers" at Yappy Hour!  The evening will include Southampton Village Mayor Mark Epley awarding prizes for best dressed dog, best trick, best on the dog walk, and more. There will be a surprise celebrity judge and animal rescues and dog boutiques will be attending the event as well.  Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling 631-283-2394.

Westhampton Beach 

AUTHOR TALK: Author Bob Spitz will be at Books & Books on Friday at 7 p.m. to discuss his book, "Dearie: The Remarkable Life of Julia Child."  Spitz is also the author of New York Times bestseller, "The Beatles."  Admission is free to this event. 

LOVE ON A LEASH WALK: Bideawee's Love on a Leash Walk will take place on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. It will be a 1.2-mile walk through the town that will begin and end at the Village Green.  Funds raised from the event will benefit Bideawee's veterinary care, behavioral training, and food and care that is provided to the animals that are waiting to find their forever homes.  Registration begins at 8 a.m., and is $25.  Prizes and awards will be given out to all fundraisers and walkers.  For more information you can email amy.hraniotis@bideawee.org.

AUTHOR TALK: David E. Sanger, author of, "Confront and Conceal: Obama's Secret Wars and Surprising Use of American Power" will be at Books & Books on Saturday at 2 p.m.  Sanger is currently the chief Washington correspondent for the New York Times.  Admission to this event is free.

PERFORMANCE: Momix, an acrobatical entertaining group, will be at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center on Saturday at 8:30 p.m.  The show which includes magical lighting and imagery is created under the artistic direction of Moses Pendleton and combines dance, music, and creative costumes. Tickets for this show are $85, $70, and $55. For tickets call 631-288-1500.

MEGAN MULLALLY: Comedian, actress, and singer Megan Mullally will be at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center on Sunday night at 8:30 p.m.  Mullally, who is best known as Karen Walker on the hit television show "Will & Grace" is also a singer who made her Broadway debut alongside Rosie O'Donnell in "Grease."  Mullally will perform an evening of song with story-telling between songs.  Tickets are $125, $95 and $75.  To purchase tickets call 631-288-1500.

Quogue

ART, CRAFT & GIFT FAIR: The VFW Post 5350 will host their ninth annual on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  There will be vendors and a large chinese auction.  Proceeds will be given to Veterans Assistance Programs and programs and awards for children in the local communities.  Rain date is Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
