Hampton Classic Horse Show Begins Sunday
Bridgehampton equestrian event brings the Hamptons summer to a close with a bang.
The 37th annual Hampton Classic Horse Show kicks off Sunday in Bridgehampton, bringing eight days of world-class equestrian competition and capping off the Hamptons social season.
The Hampton Classic attracts hunter and jumper competitors from near and far, as well as VIP spectators like New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg, whose daughter Georgina is an equestrian, and Sonja Morgan of "The Real Housewives of New York," who were both under the VIP tent in 2011.
In addition to competitions and celeb-spotting, the Classic also offers pony rides, petting zoos, boutique shopping and several special events, such as the ASPCA Adoption Day on Monday.

On Saturday, the day before the Classic gets started, , celebrating local wine and flavors, will take place at the showgrounds at 240 Snake Hollow Road at 6 p.m. The evening's net proceeds will benefit East End Hospice, , and the . Tickets are $150 and can be purchased at the door.

The opening day ceremonies in the Grand Prix Ring begins at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission each day is $10 per person (free for children younger than 6) or $20 per carload.
