Three Southampton golf courses are among America’s 100 greatest, according to Golf Digest’s biennial list released Tuesday, including two in the top 10.
, a private par-70 course, was ranked at No. 3 for the second time in a row. , a par-72 on Sebonac Inlet Road in Tuckahoe, came in at No. 10, up from 15.
Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia at No. 1 and Pine Valley Golf Club in New Jersey at No. 2 once again edged out Shinnecock Hills.

Shinnecock Hills was the second club to host the U.S. Open, in 1896. It has hosted the Open four times, most recently in 2004, and is favored for the 2018 Open.
The National Golf Links of America hosted the first Walker Cup in 1922, a match between leading amatuer American golfers and U.K. and Irish golfers.

in Tuckahoe came in at No. 44, down from No. 39. The club will host the 2013 U.S. Women's Open.
Other East End courses that made the list include Friar’s Head Golf Club in Baiting Hollow, ranked at No. 34, making its debut in Golf Digest’s rankings, and Maidstone Club in East Hampton, tied for No. 93, down from No. 86.
