Southampton Breakers Face North Jersey for Spot in ACBL Finals

After winning the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball title, Southampton must win a play-in game to get into the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League finals.

After knocking off the No. 2 seed North Fork Ospreys in the semifinals and No. 4 seed Riverhead Tomcats in the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball finals to take their first HCB crown, the Southampton Breakers' road to the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League finals isn't quite through.

The Breakers match up against the North Jersey Eagles, winner of the Wolff Division on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. The winner will go on to play the New York Atlantics, who won the Kaiser Division, on Sunday for the ACBL crown.

Lefty Paul Paez is expected to pitch for the Breakers, and Paez reportedly tied the league record for wins in the regular season, innings pitched and strikeouts.
