The Pierson-Bridgehampton field hockey are New York State Champions.
The Lady Whalers won the Class C title 1-0 over Cazenovia Lady Lakers in a double overtime on Sunday at Cicero-North Syracuse High School. The win came less than 24 hours after winning the semi-finals in a quadruple overtime that came down to a shootout.
Kasey Gilbride made the winning goal with just 32.9 seconds remaining in sudden-death double overtime, according to The Sag Harbor Express.
