Katy's Courage 5K Races Through Sag Harbor Saturday

There is still time to pre-register for the pediatric cancer benefit.

The third annual Katy's Courage 5K, in honor of Katy Stewart, a North Haven resident who succumbed to a rare form of pediatric liver cancer in 2010 at the age of 12, is coming up on Saturday.

The proceeds of the Sag Harbor race will benefit the Katy's Courage Fund for Pediatric Cancer Research at Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and local college scholarships, as well as help toward the goal of creating a children's bereavement center on the East End.

In 2012, the 5K raised $30,000 with 1,100 runners and walkers.
