SHS Homecoming Parade and Community Day

On Sept. 15, the Mariner Athletic Club and Southampton High School Student Council will be sponsoring a community-wide Homecoming Parade and Fair.

On September 15, 2012, the Mariner Athletic Club and Southampton High School Student Council will be sponsoring a community-wide Homecoming Parade to show off our community spirit, pride, and tradition through a one day celebration.  The high school students will be building floats that are based on the theme "Make a Memory."  It is our hope to include the entire community.

Only the high school classes will be designing floats, but all other schools and community groups can make a banner, flag or anything else you may want to design.  We do ask that the kids wear something that reflects Southamtpon.  It could be their sport jersey, Boy Scout uniform, Girl Scout uniform, Junior Fire Department uniform, etc.

Parade set up time will begin at 10 a.m. at .  The parade will begin at 11 a.m. and will progress from SES, Hampton Road, Main Street, Jobs Lane, Windmill Lane, Nugent Street, and back up Hampton Road to the .

Directly following the parade we will be hosting a Homecoming Fair taht will include various vendors, local businesses, concession stands, and games.  If interested in becoming a vendor, see the attached application form.  All forms are to be returned by August 31st. 

At 1:30 p.m. the Southampton Mariner Varsity Football team will be taking on Mercy at the Homecoming Football game.
