Emily was not only nominated to the National Junior Honor Society with a GPA of more than 99, but also became its president. She takes on responsibilities such as choosing charities to donate to and making a speech at the induction ceremony at the end of this year, which she doesn’t seem too nervous about.

The Junior Honor Society will be holding fundraisers throughout April to benefit , an organization that helps women and their families through the late stages of breast cancer. This past weekend, she helped setup a bowling party to raise money for the charity.

On top of this, her friends consider her trustworthy and fun. She was chosen as a natural helper, meaning more than a couple of her friends wrote her name down to be nominated as someone people can trust. Mary Quatroche, Emily's mother, said she does all these things and “on top of that she is fun, too!’

With all of her activities, she was just accepted into Hotchkiss, in Lakeville Connecticut, one of the top boarding schools in the country.
