Tuckahoe Class of 2011 Graduates

Thirty-two students graduated Friday.

The bid farewell to its eighth-grade students Friday in a graduation ceremony.

Michele Abatangelo was named the class of 2011 valedictorian and Harrison Aponte was the salutatorian. Superintendent Joseph C. Dyer gave the keynote address and was presented with an honorary Tuckahoe School diploma.

  • Tuckahoe Parent-Teacher Organization Award - Michele Abatangelo
  • Raymond H. Orts Memorial Award - Kyla Seymore
  • The Southrifty Drug Store Award - Harrison Aponte
  • Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Dunes Post 7009 Southampton Community Service Award  - Ana Martin
  • Dwayne Stuart Memorial Award - Kadesha Joseph
  • American Legion Awards - McClane Farnam and Casey Gise
  •  Richard F. Maran Memorial Award - Delaney Jones
  • D.A.R. History Award - Michele Abatangelo and Brandon Taraku
  • Leah M. Topping Memorial Award - Alexis Rosko
  • John Spata Memorial Award - Montrese Brown
  • The Emerson D. Ridgway Memorial Award - Angelica Platt and Andrew Ridgway
  • The Spirit of Marc Nardin Memorial Award - Gemma Caglioti
  • State of New York Office of the Attorney General Triple “C” Awards - Michele Abatangelo and Alexis Rosko
  • New York State Comptroller’s Achievement Award - Delaney Jones

The President’s Education Awards went to the following students who achieved an overall academic average of 90 or above:
