STOP BULLYING !!!!!

If bullying is the root of this terrible tragedy, then some serious action has to take place..I read The Star yesterday & saw the photo of young men carrying David's casket & my heart just sank...I read that his mother collapsed & my heart sank even further...Whoever is responsible for bullying David needs to come clean & take responsibility & accept the punishment for this crime...Who are these youngsters who believe that they are entitled to bully people because their parents have taught them not to be tolerant of others? Where are the religious leaders teaching acceptance of everyone in this town? I am a retired NYC HS teacher of 34 years & a licensed Mediator & Certified in Conflict / Resolution & our RELIGIOUS LEADERS NEED SOME TRAINING IN CERTAIN AREAS..If the people responsible for this crime are teenagers then they need to HAVE A SERIOUS BOLD NOTATION MADE ON THEIR PERMANENT RECORD & IF THEY PLAY SPORTS, THEY SHOULD BE BANNED FROM TEAM SPORTS, & IF THEY ARE HONOR STUDENTS, THEY SHOULD BE THROWN OFF THE HONOR SOCIETY ....THEY NEED SEVERE REHAB & INTENSE COUNSELING & THERAPY IN A CONFINED FACILITY & NOT ALLOWED TO ATTEND SCHOOL NOR TO HAVE GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT OR TO APPLY FOR POST SECONDARY HIGHER EDUCATION.....THEIR FAMILIES NEED INTENSE HELP....They need to pay restitution because bullying is a crime..WE HAVE THE FREEDOM TO BE WHO WE ARE..........

Prayer taken out of school but much prayers after and during a horrific tragedies.Mmmmm. I think we all believe strongly in prevention So many death related incidents throughout our country, and it continues and now one hits home. Millions and Millions and MILLIONS of dollars are being spent now on bullying, would it be a more horrible thing to allow prayer back in the school?. It has been even scientifically proven that praying works, which humbly some of us have known this for decades even centuries , and guess what the cost is LOVE/COMPASSION for one another and as little as a minute of two of your time. One more thing has anyone conducted a survey on the before and after statistics of MAJOR incidents throughout our country with prayer taken out of school? I pray that we reconsider making prayer a good way to start a school day..btw it has a two fold benefit..looks good on you as well (from the inside out) PEACE AND LOVE

prayer is not going to solve the problem...there are many religions in the US 7 many different religions & non religions come together in a student body in Public & Independent Schools...Awareness & sensitivity & acceptance of everyone for their differences be it sexual persuasion, religion or non religion, customs , race, & ethnic background...Bias stems from the home...The religious leaders could start by talking real acceptance of everyone & not what is sinful & the right..way to their congregations & talking about acceptance of those who are non religious as well........

Acceptance of our differences & parents 7 religious leaders need to look at their congregations & say that it is okay to be WHO YOU ARE & TO LIVE YOUR LIFE AS A DECENT CITIZEN NO MATTER WHAT YOUR RELIGION OR NON RELIGION IS, NO MATTER WHAT YOUR SEXUAL PERSUASION IS, NO MATTER WHAT YOUR RACE IS, NO MATTER WHAT YOUR ETHNIC BACKGROUND IS......WE DON'T NEED PREACHERS, WE NEED PEOPLE WHO WILL ACCEPT PEOPLE FOR WHO THEY ARE.....
