Photo of the Day: Ben Zaloga Wins Spelling Bee
Ben will represent Southampton at the Long Island Regional Spelling Bee.
After close to an hour and a half of numerous, intense rounds of words, sixth grader Ben Zaloga cinched the title of SIS Spelling Bee Champion by correctly spelling the word “gratitude” at the annual SIS event. Ben will now represent Southampton at the Long Island Regional Spelling Bee at Hofstra University on March 3, 2012. In addition, he has won a one-year subscription to Britannica Online as well as one semester of the online Powerspeak World Language course.
