Nominating Petitions Available for Southampton School Board

Potential candidates have until April 22 to turn in petitions.

School board elections and the annual budget vote are coming up in May, and the time for those interested in running for a seat on the board to get their names on the ballot is now.

Of the seven seats on the Southampton School Board, one will be up in May for a four-year term. The seat is currently held by Water Mill resident Christina Strassfield, who is the museum director and chief curator of Guild Hall Museum in East Hampton.

Nominating petitions are available at the district clerk's office in the administration building behind the intermediate school between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
